AMA Road Racing: '11 XR1200 Champ Chris Fillmore Pegged to be Grand Marshall at Ride For Children Event

Chris Fillmore to Serve as Grand Marshal for 17th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children

Eustis, Fla. (Oct. 4, 2011) - Lending their support to this year's Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children, a fundraiser for Camp Boggy Creek, will be Grand Marshals: Actor Mark Boone, Jr. from the hit television series Sons of Anarchy; Chris Fillmore, professional road racer and the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR 1200 Series National Champion; and Will Barclay, winner of the 2011 Hoka Hey Challenge, a grueling 10,000 mile race across the 48 contiguous states. They will be joined by radio personalities the Monsters in the Morning from Real Radio and WHOG's Frank Scott who has participated in every Ride for Children since the first one in 1995.

New this year is an invitation to ALL motorcyclists to participate in what has traditionally been an event drawing Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Organizers are expanding the invitation to inform an even larger audience about the mission of Camp Boggy Creek.

Said Mandy Rossmeyer Campbell, Bruce Rossmeyer's daughter, "My Dad loved Camp and these kids and it's our job now to be sure that they continue to get the support they need and that we identify new families and kids who could be coming to Camp at no charge."
