DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 18, 2012)
- AMA Pro Racing, NOLA Motorsports
Park, M1 PowerSports and The Transportation Revolution New Orleans are excited
to announce AMA Pro Test Fest, a set of fan-friendly activities
scheduled in conjunction with the June 26-27 official series test at the all-new
motorsports facility in New Orleans, La.
Right after this weekend's
Triumph Superbike Classic Presented by America's First Federal Credit Union at
Barber Motorsports Park, AMA Pro Road Racing teams and competitors will begin
the short journey to New Orleans, La.'s NOLA Motorsports Park. Gates open early
on Tuesday, June 26, with the first on-track activity taking place at 8:00 a.m.
Admission is free for the event, which will provide fans with their first
opportunity to preview the excitement that will arrive this fall when AMA Pro
Road Racing thunders into the Bayou State for the season-ending Triumph Big
Kahuna New Orleans presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince (October 5-7,
2012).

"We're excited to bring the Big
Kahuna party to NOLA Motorsports Park," said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1
PowerSports. "This is a great opportunity to see the type of adventure and
excitement that M1 delivers to fans, along with their first chance to get
personally acquainted with AMA Pro Road Racing and the top riders in the
sport."
The top riders in the Series,
including two-time, defending AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Champion Josh
Hayes, will be in attendance to meet and greet with fans and participate in
Q&A Sessions aimed at educating the fan base about the sport of motorcycle
road racing and the four classes that make up AMA Pro Road Racing: AMA Pro
National Guard SuperBike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike, AMA Pro
Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport and the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200
Series. Nearly 40 AMA Pro Road Racing teams and competitors have signed up to
participate, representing eight manufacturers: Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, EBR, BMW,
Triumph, Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson.
At 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26,
the Test Fest Celebration Party will be hosted by local motorcycle dealer The
Transportation Revolution at their trackside Motorbike Speed Shop, located in
the first garage closest to the paddock. Fans can rub elbows with AMA Pro riders
while enjoying live music by local sensation Roots of Music as they parade down
the paddock to kick off the party. This critically acclaimed music education
program for middle-school students in New Orleans was recently tapped to play in
the 2013 Rose Bowl parade, and this is a great opportunity to enjoy their
impressive show.
Immmediately after the
Celebration Party, the Test Fest Kart Challenge is scheduled to begin at 7:30
p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 and will allow fans to team up with their favorite AMA
Pro Road Racing star in a four-person team race around the venue's world-class
karting circuit. More information about the Test Fest Kart Challenge will be
made available later this week. The 50mph karts will also be available to rent
all day long on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
New Orleans is recognized
worldwide for having amazing local cuisine, so no event in The Big Easy would be
complete without including the city's culinary creations. Sensational local food
and deserts will be available all day throughout the facility.
M1 PowerSports will be offering
discounted ticket packages for the Triumph Big Kahuna New Orleans to all that
attend the two-day event. Fans are invited to pick up their tickets early by
visiting the Karting Center or the TTRNO Speed Shop between the hours of 8:00
a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All ticket packages purchased during the AMA Pro Test Fest
will include a Free VIP Parking Pass valued at $20.
