Henry Wiles continued his domination of the AMA Pro Flat Track Singles Series tonight at the Springfield Arena by winning the dash to clinch his second Singles Championship in a row in the series and adding to his overall win record at the famous Illinois State Fairgrounds. Including wins in the spring TT race, Hammerin Hank has now won seven events in a row at the Arena and after garnering the #1 plate (with AMA Flat Track Manager Mike Kidd presenting above) from his win in the dash, went on to run away from the field in the Grand National Singles main event. Wiles event took his sponsor, former GNC competitor Ronnie Jones on his victory lap after the main event.
Jake Johnson came home second and J.D. Beach, in his inaugaral ride after moving up from the Pro Singles Series, brought it home in third place to round out the podium. With Sammy Halbert finishing out the evening in the 11th spot after having to take a provisional to make the main, the overall points took another turn with four events left in the 2010 season. Series leader Joe Kopp came home fourth and still leads with 240 points, Johnson vaulted past Slammin Sammy to now hold second in the overall championship with 229, and Sammy still managed to hold onto the third spot with 217 points. Wiles moved up to fourth overall with his win tonight with 216 points.

The front row for the final event in the AMA Pro Flat Track K&N Filters presented by Motorcycle Superstore.com Singles Series gets ready for the main to go green at Springfield with fastest heat winner, dash winner, and eventual main event winner Henry Wiles on the #1 Monster Energy/Jones Bros/Shift Racing-sponsored Kawasaki on the pole. Second fastest in qualifying Chad Cose on the #49 Digger Helm/Lightshoe/Arlen Ness-sponsored Honda, Joe Kopp on the #3 Latus H-D/Moto Concepts/Jones Powersports-backed Honda, Matt Weidman on the #20 MDR/SNIP/Silkolene-sponsored Honda and Mick Kirkness on the #87 Dave Burks Motorsports/Yeager Cycles/F&S H-D-sponsored Suzuki round out the front row starters.
Fast qualifier and former 7-Time Grand National Champion Chris Carr on his #4 Chris Carr Racing/DFW Honda/Lancaster H-D-backed Honda won his heat but had to start from the back row in the main when his primary mount failed to fire and he had to resort to running his back up in the main event. The former winner of the Springfield Short Track managed to bring it home in the 5th spot with a great ride through the field during the 25 lap final.
