Sunoco and AMA Pro Racing announce renewed AMA Pro Flat Track partnership for 2015
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 4, 2015) - Sunoco and AMA Pro Racing announced today a renewed partnership that extends the successful, longstanding relationship through the 2015 AMA Pro Flat Track season. As part of the new agreement, the manufacturer of high-performance racing fuels will provide its Sunoco Supreme 112 gasoline at a new, reduced cost to competitors.
Sunoco has been an official partner with AMA Pro Racing since 2009 and returns as the Official Fuel of AMA Pro Flat Track for the seventh consecutive season. The announcement also includes an extension of the popular Sunoco "Go the Distance Award," which rewards the riders in both the GNC1 and GNC2 classes who complete the most number of miles during all official practice, qualifying and race sessions over the course of the season.
"We've been very pleased with our partnership with Sunoco over the years and we're happy to welcome them back again in 2015," said Michael Gentry, Chief Operating Officer of AMA Pro Racing. "We're thankful that they are supporting the paddock with reduced fuel prices and giving back through a year-end award. As the top dirt track racing series in the world, we are proud to be associated with the top racing fuel in the world."
In 2014, Jared Mees and Bronson Bauman were the Sunoco "Go the Distance Award" winners in the GNC1 and GNC2 classes, respectively. The total purse for the award is $15,000.
