AMA Pro Flat Track--Knoxville Round Canceled Due to Rain

The 16th round of the AMA Pro Flat Track K&N Filters presented by Motorcycle Superstore.com Grand National Championship Series at Knoxville, Iowa has been canceled due to the inundation of rain that the area has received since early yesterday morning.

No rain date has been set, and the event has been scrubbed. The link below from Knoxvilles tells all ticket holders to return their tickets to the track for a refund.

This will surely mix up the series now with only the Arizona mile event left for October 9th, with Jake Johnson leading Joe Kopp 265-255, and Jared Mees in the 3rd spot in the overall standings with 246 points. With this single round left, 4th place in the overall championship standings has Henry Wiles with 239 points and the only man left standing with a mathematical chance to grab the title should something serious happen to any of the top 3.

Stay tuned. This is a very serious shake-up to the season's outcome without this round being able to be run and the loss of four other rounds throughout the season that were canceled due to promoter and track issues.
